SAPPORO, Japan: Singapore's table tennis squad did the nation proud at this year's Asian Cup in Sapporo, Japan.
Female paddlers Feng Tianwei and Li Jiawei took the silver and bronze medals respectively.
Men's singles player Gao Ning also clinched a bronze medal at the competition.
Feng Tianwei said: �Having won the silver medal, I'm really delighted. I hope that at the Olympics, I will be able to achieve better results, and win a medal for Singapore."
The competition was held from 29 to 30 March.
It was a triumphant welcome for these paddlers who basked in the attention from family, friends and fans.

Feng Tianwei caused a major upset in the semi-finals of the Women's Singles competition when she beat top seed and reigning Olympic champion Zhang Yining from China.
Feng eventually settled for the silver medal with China's Guo Yue clinching the gold. - CNA/vm
